Katherine Locke was Reader in Residence for the BBCs Big Read and has worked with various community groups on literature development projects. She is currently employed as Reader in Residence for children in care in Dorset. The aim of the post is to promote reading for pleasure opportunities for children in foster care and the children’s homes in the county. Katherine is also a reader for the Bridport Prize. She lives in Dorset with her partner, two children and four stepchildren.
