Mark McWatt was born in Guyana in 1947. He has published two collections of poetry, Interiors and The Language of Eldorado which won the Guyana Prize. His story ‘A Love Song For Miss Lillian’ features in Light Transports.

Benjamin Mellor

Benjamin Mellor

Ben Mellor is an award-winning slam poet, writer, performer and educator. He performed his first solo show, Voices of Dissent, in 2008 and is touring the piece nationally by bicycle in Spring/Summer 2010. He won the Dike Omeje Slam Poetry Award 2008.

David Meltzer is a Bay Area resident who teaches in the Humanities and Poetics programmes at the New College of California. He began his literary career during the Beat heyday in San Francisco, reading poetry to jazz accompaniment in the Jazz Cellar. His ‘Howling Wolves’ features in Howl for Now.

Jennifer Moore’s fiction and poetry have appeared in publications on both sides of the Atlantic, including The Guardian, Mslexia, Short Fiction, The First Line, Pulp Net and Shakespeare’s Monkey Revue. Her story ‘Love Thy Neighbour’ features in Wonderwall.

Kate Massey

Katy Massey’s memoir, Are we home yet?, is about growing up on the fringes of the sex industry in the 1980s and forms her academic thesis for her Phd in Creative Writing at Newcastle University. She has published a poetry pamphlet, as well as journalism and commissioned fiction and poetry for a variety of clients incluing The Arts Council, Tyne & Wear Archive Service and the BBC.

Mandy MacFarlane is a short story writer from Dundee, for a long time based in Leeds before returning back north. She is published in several creative writing publications including Cutting Teeth and Dreamcatcher. Her story ‘Breaking for the Border’ features in Naked City and her mini-collection of stories The Love of the Wild and Wayward features in Route Compendium.
