Steve Hill is a widely published freelance journalist who has written for numerous publications about such diverse topics as music, sport, film, television, poker and video games.
Hill's first book, The Card (2018), charted a traumatic season supporting his beloved Chester FC and was nominated for the William Hill Sports Book of the Year. This was followed by Wall Of Sport (2020) in which he spent an entire year watching televised sport. Friday Night Fever (2026) sees Hill embedded with the fanatical followers of the extraordinary Half Man Half Biscuit.
