Steven Hall was born in Derbyshire in 1975 and studied Fine Art at Sheffield Hallam University. His ‘Stories for a Phone Book’ appeared in Picador/British Council Anthology New Writing 13 in 2005 and ‘Not Jesus Yet’ was included in The Edgier Waters, 5 Years of 3AM Magazine in 2006. His story ‘Ten Tickets’ features in Light Transports.

After completing his degree, he produced a number of short films as part of Manchester’s WetNana Collective, including the video for Fonda 500’s second single Superchimpanzee.

Steven’s first novel, The Raw Shark Texts, is a story about love, loss, language and a conceptual shark and is published by Cannongate.
