Zdravka Evtimova was born in 1959 in Bulgaria. She has published four collections of short stories and three novels: Your Shadow was My Home, Lindy and Thursday. Her novel God of Traitors was published in June 2004 as an E-book by Buck Publications, Dallas, Texas, USA. Her short story collection Bitter Sky was published by Skrev Press in 2003.

Zdravka has won a number of literary prizes including the Gencho Stoev literary award of Balkani Publishers for a short story written by a Balkan author in March 2004. Her novel Thursday won the Prose Award of the Bulgarian Writers’ Union for 2003.  Zdravka works as a literary translator and at present she is working on her PhD thesis on Toni Morrison’s novels. She lives with her husband, two sons and her daughter in Pernik, Bulgaria.
