Michelle Hickman (AKA 8bitnorthxstitch) is a Salfordian serial cross-stitcher who re-interprets the people, ideas and pop culture that mean the most to her. Her artwork has been used in Daryl Easlea’s book, Whatever Happened to Slade? and on the sleeve of the re-issued 50,000 Fall Fans Can’t Be Wrong LP. Being a footnote enthusiast, her ultimate honour is being mentioned in Paul Hanley’s book, Sixteen Again (footnote 21, page 32, if you’re interested.)
