Iain Matthews

Iain Matthews first gained public attention in 1967 as a member of Fairport Convention. In 1970 he created his own band Matthews Southern Comfort and had a worldwide hit with Joni Mitchell’s ‘Woodstock’. For the next five decades he has been making music, touring and releasing records, as a solo artist or with a group. He moved from the UK to the USA in 1972. In 2000, he moved to the Netherlands where he currently lives and works.
